Restoring the Foundations
The work of Chester and Betsy Kylstra, Restoring the Foundations is a proven and accredited ministry tool which enables individuals to appropriate and receive God's healing, deliverance and freedom for their lives.
In life 'stuff' happens to us all - often in our formative years when we are not equipped to either understand or deal with how it affects us. This is where the foundations of our life are often damaged. We then go through life trying to breakthrough the battles and mindsets that prevent us from living in the good of all that Jesus has done for us, whilst not always understanding why we are repeatedly battling the same struggles.
As Pastors, we believe that in order to experience a breakthrough into the full life and destiny that God has for each of us, some further help and understanding of forgiveness and personal responsibility is often needed to achieve this.
Restoring The Foundations leads the individual through a set process where healing, restoration and deliverance occurs by tackling the four problem areas pertaining to the particular issue in their life. The ministry process is conducted only by those who are qualified to do so ensuring safety and quality assurance for the individual.
These four problem areas are:
- Sins of the Fathers and Resulting Curses (SOFCs) deals with generational patterns eg. alcoholism, depression etc - Exodus 20:3-6.
- Ungodly Beliefs (UGBs) deals with the untruths often rooted in our expectations and experiences in life, rather than on the truth of God's Word - Rom 12:2.
- Soul/Spirit Hurts (SSHs) which deals specifically with healing the wounded areas of the soul and emotions - Psalm 23:3.
- Demonic Oppression (DO). As the three previous areas are dismantled, so the legal rights for the demonic to oppress the individual are removed resulting in freedom.
Restoring the Foundations is totally based on the Word of God, the finished work of Christ on the cross and the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit, so with the co-operation of the individual, "will do exactly what it says on the tin!"
Training
In order to become qualified to minister the Restoring The Foundations integrated approach to healing and deliverance, there is an in-depth quality controlled process of training to undergo. This qualification and recognition from the Healing House Network is absolutely essential for anyone wishing to minister to people using this tool.
The first stage of training is to attend a Healing and Deliverance seminar, which is 15 hours of teaching over a couple of days. The teaching will explore the four problems areas; Sins of the Fathers and Resulting Curses, Ungodly Beliefs, Soul/Spirit Hurts and Demonic Oppression. Each area is explored and supported by testimony, biblical teaching, and practical demonstration.
On completion of the Healing and Deliverance seminar, and with the required Pastor's letter of recommendation, the individual, or couple, is eligible to attend the next training stage - the 'Single Issue' Activation Training Seminar which is a balance of teaching and practical demonstration. Assessment is made throughout by qualified trainers as to the suitability of individuals to minister at this level. On successful completion of this Activation Training seminar, a certificate is issued which states that the individual is recognised by the Healing House Network to minister to others at Single Issue level.
Before going on to the next level of 'Thorough Ministry' Training - it is required that individuals (married couples together) go through the 'Thorough Ministry' for themselves - 15 hours of in-depth personal ministry spread out over a week. This will be with a couple who have received the Thorough Ministry training and therefore approved and recommended by the Healing House Network.
